The Impactful Journey of Caroline Finkbeiner

(CLAIR) Caroline Finkbeiner, a Monte Vista High School graduate, recently participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). The program, known for fostering leadership skills, includes hands-on activities and experiences for young individuals.

During RYLA, Caroline joined a diversity workshop where she learned about For the Need and the work FTN does in the community. Caroline, moved by their mission, requested to volunteer.

Not only did Caroline decide to volunteer, but her choice also affected those around her. Her mother, who is a teacher, observed a marked change in Caroline following her RYLA experience. Despite an upcoming transition to Vassar College in the fall, Caroline intends to maintain her involvement with FTN.

Another teacher, Jennifer, was influenced by Caroline’s commitment to FTN and has chosen to volunteer with the organization as well.

Caroline’s journey underscores the impact of programs like RYLA and the ripple effect of volunteering, highlighting how one person’s actions can inspire others to follow suit.
