Hope the Mission Partners with For the Need to Combat Homelessness in Greater Los Angeles

(CLAIR) – Hope the Mission, the largest homeless service provider in the Greater Los Angeles Area, has announced a strategic partnership with For the Need Foundation to address homelessness and poverty.

Hope the Mission is a faith-based organization with a long-standing commitment to alleviating poverty, hunger, and homelessness. They offer a range of services including immediate assistance, transitional housing, shelters, and job training programs. Their new shelter, “The Woodlands,” opened in August 2023 and currently houses 96 families, totaling over 300 individuals.

For the Need Foundation recently visited “The Woodlands” to serve meals and meet the families residing there. The shelter, managed by Rodrigo Mercado, Director of Family/TAY Programs, and Site Manager Maverick, provides comprehensive services including three meals a day, transportation, and case management.

In addition to the existing facilities, Hope the Mission is in the process of building a multipurpose recreational and preschool center on the same property as “The Woodlands.” This new center will serve as a community hub for organizations like For the Need to host events and life skills workshops.

The partnership aims to expand the outreach and impact of For the Need Foundation. Going forward, the foundation plans to offer life skills workshops and mentorship programs to the families at “The Woodlands.”
