Salvation Army’s Día de los Niños Event

(CLAIR) – On Sunday, April 30th, volunteers from For The Need participated in the Salvation Army’s Día de los Niños event, also known as the International Day of Children and Youth. Held annually on the last Sunday of April, the day is dedicated to celebrating children and young people, giving them a voice and a stage to participate in various activities. By all accounts, the event was a success.

For The Need contributed its basketball hoop contest game to the event. The festive carnival atmosphere had kids and their families lining up to play and win prizes. The occasion was designed so that everyone would leave with something special.

El Dia del Niño, or “Day of the Child,” is a celebration that originated in Mexico in 1925. Today, it is celebrated in many Latin American countries and other parts of the world. The event is designed to include the whole family in activities for children, emphasizing the importance of unity and support for young people.

The day focused not only on family fun but also on sharing essential community resources with attendees.
