For The Need Recognized As California Non-Profit Of The Year

(CLAIR) – Simi Valley-based, For The Need Foundation, has been honored as a California Non-Profit of the Year. For The Need was selected and nominated by State Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, in recognition of its impactful work supporting underprivileged youth.

Established in 2004, the organization has earned a reputation for its innovative approach to assisting young individuals grappling with poverty, homelessness, and abuse. For The Need Foundation is committed to empowering these youths, providing them with the tools they need to overcome life’s obstacles, discover new opportunities, and unlock their unique potential.

Its successful mission has gained statewide recognition, establishing the organization as an agent for change in California. Underlining this achievement, Assembly Member Jacqui Irwin commended the organization for the impact it has made on its local community.

The Foundation has devoted years to delivering education, mentorship, and life-altering opportunities to those most in need. Its programs are tailored to assist young individuals in rising above their circumstances, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive.

Executive Director of For The Need Foundation, Dorina Timbol, expressed immense gratitude for this recognition. She emphasized the dedication and compassion exhibited by the Foundation’s volunteers and corporate partners in their efforts to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged youth.

The Foundation is best known for its high-quality day-long events featuring workshops on financial literacy, professional ethics training, team building, and personal branding. Their programs aim to show kids with less access to traditional resources that they too can break the cycle of poverty and become successful contributors to society.

One of their noteworthy initiatives allowed young participants to build and launch their own rockets, under the guidance of a real NASA astronaut, Colonel James Kelly. These hands-on experiences demonstrate the Foundation’s dedication to fostering young talents and promoting academic excellence.

Moreover, For The Need Foundation places high emphasis on community engagement, regularly collaborating with community leaders, law enforcement, and religious organizations. Such partnerships nurture a safe and welcoming atmosphere, promoting a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

The Foundation, a Gold Seal GuideStar recipient, is celebrated not just for its transparency but also its relentless pursuit of improving the lives of the youth it serves. The recent accolade from Assembly Member Irwin accentuates its vital role in bolstering California’s communities.

For The Need Foundation welcomes individuals to join their mission of transforming young lives and shaping a brighter future for disadvantaged youths across the state.
