THANK YOU for your help, Friend!! We started off this month with amazing work from volunteers to make Rocket Day for the 805 Location more than successful. All the kids bonded closely with their mentors and crossbows, as they built awesome rockets! Their creativeness shined through and every kid left with a huge smile on their face thanks to you! 🚀🚀 |

📣 Our Training Days Were Awesome! 💯On January 11th and 18th, we hosted Volunteer Welcome and Training Days for all the new and continuing volunteers for FTN in both Simi Valley and Los Angeles locations to prep for the new year. These events went perfectly, and we are BEYOND excited for what is to come!We had a presentation from Army veteran and educator, Bob Allinder, to teach all volunteers about how to create safe and meaningful bonds with all the Arrows. A live-scan also took place for all the incoming mentors, building a safe place for fun!!If you missed these events, DON’T WORRY! 💼 Inside For The Need 😎As part of our growth into the Los Angeles area, For The Need is inviting children from the women and children shelter Hope Gardens to join Rocket Day 818 as the start of a blossoming partnership. Additionally, FTN visited the Samaritan Center in Simi Valley, inviting all the unhoused families at the food pantry. One of the new families even attended Rocket Day 805! For The Need also went through many updates on the website, so CHECK IT OUT to learn more about us: ForTheNeed.org. We are also filming more training videos for all the volunteers, meaning MORE IS TO COME!!! |
