Training For An Impact: FTN’s Volunteer Welcome & Training Day

For The Need Foundation (FTN) partners with WM to host Volunteer Welcome & Training Day for new and upcoming volunteers to welcome and train them for the new year. This year, there will be two training days, each taking place in the 805 Location (Simi Valley), or the 818 Location (Los Angeles).

For The Need is a non-profit organization that hosts various private events throughout the year to benefit families in unstable housing conditions or low-income environments. As the year begins, FTN will formally introduce the new 818 Location to volunteers, as well as training all the new volunteers for all the events to come.

This event consists of a multitude of activities and presentations to all the new volunteers to the program to inform them about FTN, commitments, events, etc. Moreover, a live scan will also take place for all the upcoming Bows (mentors), Longbows (parent-mentors), Compound Bows (safety & security), and Crossbows (mentors in training) who are 18+ years old to ensure future safety for all the families in the Bow & Arrow Mentorship Program. Lunch will then be catered by Chick Fil A.

Director of FTN, Allie Spaccarelli, shares an introduction behind valued and highly contributed member of FTN, Bob Allinder, stating, “Bob Allinder, a retired US Army veteran with 34 years of service, is an esteemed anchor with the For the Need Foundation and a dedicated teacher at Benjamin Franklin High School. His extensive experience as a leader, trainer, and mentor, combined with his commitment to student wellness, has made him a valued contributor to both the foundation and the community.”
