Paddle To Empower: FTN Foundation’s Pickleball Tournament

For The Need Foundation (FTN) partners with Top Tier Pickleball and WM to host Paddle To Empower: Pickleball Tournament, which takes place at Sinaloa Middle School of Simi Valley, within their campus’s tennis courts.

For The Need is a non-profit organization that hosts various private events throughout the year to benefit families in unstable housing conditions or low-income environments. FTN also participates in fundraising opportunities to contribute to their cause. Paddle To Empower Pickleball Tournament helps with the initiative, by creating a public event to raise money for more Bow & Arrow Mentorship Programs in the future.

FTN split this event into two days; Saturday October 19, and Sunday October 20. On Saturday, players compete in Men’s/Women’s Doubles, while on Sunday, players compete in Mixed Doubles for versatility and amusement. Merchandise and Lunch is included, as well as a raffle all people participate in. For one event entry it costs $70, and two event entry is $130. The total amount of prize money is $6060 which is split between winners. The payout is also different between skill levels: (4.5-5.5) 1st wins $850, 2nd wins $500, and 3rd wins $250.
