Where adventure meets stability.
Overview
Each summer, For the Need and its supporters send children from our programs to Summer Camp. We enrich each child's summer camp experience by providing all the necessary clothes, supplies, and encouragement needed to succeed.
In 2024, every kid who wanted to attend summer camp was able to. Thanks to supporters like you and our generous donation match from WM, we raised $8000, sending 19 kids to two different camps, fully providing their transportation to and from camp, clothes for up to 9 days, and all supplies needed for the overnight experience.
With your support, the children in our program today will become the leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.

TERRIANA
Terriana began her journey with us several years ago as her mom has been battling the terrible disease of cancer. Terriana and her sister have been to 10 FTN events, and they are always so happy to be with us. This family is near and dear to FTN. Help us make her dream come true of attending summer camp this year!
SAMANTHA "SAMMY"
Sammy has been with FTN a long time as she not only attends the events, but she also volunteers to help prep for the events. Also, she has been working toward being a mechanic by learning the skills of the trade with our partner Team Up Racing. Help Sammy attend Summer camp!
LOUKAS
Loukas has been with FTN since the beginning and has been to 14 FTN events. It has been a blessing to watch him grow up, come out of his shell, and truly bond with his mentor, Eugene. His mom, with tears in her eyes, thanked FTN for giving Loukas a male mentor to look up to.
ARROW
The other 15+ children we are sending to camp are part of our Bow & Arrow Mentorship Program, pictured above. Each child has a unique strory and reason for being part of our program.

The three camps.
We accommodate grades 2-12.
Camp Bob Waldorf
Camp Bob Waldorf is an incredible nonprofit dedicated to providing the camp experience to children in need. This makes it the perfect place for parents to send their children to know they will be loved, cared for, and well understood. It includes the largest age range of second grade through senior year of high school, which is roughly ages seven through eighteen.
This overnight camp is nine days long, filled with activities and adventure, new friends, and good food. The children get to rock climb, learn to swim, launch bottle rockets, and more at this thrilling camp themed "Space is the Place."
Most importantly, the campers get to experience a home away from home where all their worries are left behind for just a glimpse of time.
Christian Youth Camp
The Christian Youth Camp provides an incredible overnight "mountain top experience" where a child gets to experience God in a pressure-free zone with other kids their age. As these children are in middle school, the major emphasis is FUN and learning that Christianity doesn't have to be boring.
Each day is filled with epic water wars, crafts, competitions, free time, good food, and lessons centered around the Bible. With stargazing, hiking, competitions, and more, the fun is never-ending. The camp counselors and staff are incredible people, there as volunteers to love and care about the campers all week long.
Most importantly, the campers get to experience a home away from home where all their worries are left behind for just a glimpse of time.
Christian Teen Camp
Teen Camp provides an incredible retreat experience where teenagers get to deeply explore their faith while having a blast doing it. Each day is filled with lessons from scripture, fun competitions, team bonding, and friendship. The memories they make and the practical lessons they learn will stay with them wherever they go.
The profound and enduring impact these campers will expereience is priceless.

Thank you for giving and helping us make this experience a reality for children who need it the most. Youth Camp and Teen Camp changed my life forever. It was at these camps that I was able to explore God and my own faith freely with loving camp counselors who I will never forget. It was their love for me and the lessons I heard and the people I met and learned from who inspired me to be the person I am today, where my faith and my calling to give back inform everything that I do.
Our Mission
Donations raised beyond our goal will go directly back into For the Need, helping us reach our mission to provide a foundation for underprivileged youth to overcome life's difficult challenges, discover opportunity, and realize their own unique potential.
