Bringing a smile to kids in need
From The Beginning...
For The Need's first events starting out as a non-profit organization was hosting annual Christmas parties in the hospital for the child patients who were facing critically ill conditions, as a way of starting the initiative to help families in need. Now, FTN has continued its tradition, helping children in hospital beds to continue to feel the Christmas spirit. Help provide these children to have a joyful Christmas experience through giving in our toy drive, or donating $19 monthly for a tote bag!
Our Initiative
Children facing difficult health conditions.
Our ultimate initiative is to organize and host a Christmas annually for the sole benefit of encouraging morale within child patients stuck in hospitals during the Christmas season. With a multitude of activities, presents, and joy, we encourage joy and instill the Christmas spirit to these children in need. Most of all, FTN's goal is to maintain hope within them as well as their families during the holiday season. This private event is solely volunteer based, and consists of face painting, ornament decorating, and the meeting of the legendary Santa Claus, that each volunteer aids in. By the end of each event, FTN aims in allowing each kid to leave with love in their heart from the music and performances, and a smile on their face that will get them through these conflicting times.

As For The Need has hosted this annual Christmas parties for years at a time, there was a time where this girl, who we will call Abby for privacy reasons, who attended this event year after year. She was a consistent member that many remembered, as she was fighting cancer. One year, FTN found that our dear Abby, has passed away. That was a terrible fate she did not deserve. However, FTN is truly grateful she was able to experience a Christmas Party. Through this, even for a moment, Abby was a kid who was able to get her face painted, decorate an ornament and cupcake, meet the widely known Santa Claus, but have fun most of all. During that party, she was able to forget the pain, forget about being a young girl with cancer, and be able to live the life of any other kid her age.

Bring your toys on December 1st to The Valley Church, on December 8th to Simi Church of Christ, or from now through December 8th to Palomera Auto Detailing in Simi Valley or Simi Valley High School.
With your support, the children in the hospitals dealing with harsh critical conditions, can experience the same Christmas spirit they would experience in the comfort of their homes.
Our Mission
Donations raised will all go directly back into For the Need, helping us reach our mission to provide a foundation for underprivileged youth to overcome life's difficult challenges, discover opportunity, and realize their own unique potential.
