Arrow Alumni Launch Program
Mentorship And Career Growth
From Hardship To Hope, One Arrow At A Time
Consistently remaining in contact with FTN.
All in all, this means Arrows must return back to For The Need when they are contacted to make sure the program is properly functioning for the individual. This can be through phone calls, texts, emails from FTN staff and volunteers, potential job contacts, etc. They must also communicate with FTN with any step they take and what they need to go forward. This can ensure beneficial communication making what is to come a smoother process.
Living a clean and sober lifestyle.
This is not taken lightly at FTN, as it is a more than crucial step to success when it comes to one's future. Staying off the influence only aids in performance skills when it comes to an Arrow's career and future habits in their life.
Keeping up with Career and Interview Skills.
Once heard by an Arrow that they brought their cat to an interview, For The Need has prioritized teaching the proper tactics to ace an interview and pursuing a career ever since. This brings security and awareness to those going forward for bigger and better things, and knowing what to do in tough situations will only help.
Taking the proper initiative.
Though FTN provides helpful and consolidating resources and skills to pursue a better future, it is critically up to the Arrows to work hard and use these tools. This includes taking the final step and doing what they finally prepared for. This will only get rid of their underlying fear of what is next, and take life head on.
Every Arrow in the Alumni Launch program must be actively a part of FTN Bow & Arrow Mentorship events to guide the younger Arrows in what can be their successful future. Exceptions can be made to Arrows who work during those events.
After a year of active participation within volunteering at events, those who once were Arrows, are encouraged to make their first steps to being a Bow. They will be connected to a mentee, and connect with them frequently through MentorHub.
What This Program Offers
For The Need will offer support to each Arrow to start the job application process and navigate them through the hiring process. FTN will also provide exposure to new contacts for potential jobs.
This will educate the Arrows on how the Drivers License system works and how you ace it. We will provide aid in starting Drivers Ed for the Permit Knowledge Tests, and driving practice for the license.
Not only does one need to learn drive, Arrows eventually need access to a car of their own. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, since every Arrow has an individual story. FTN will also help in Arrows in getting car insurance as well.
Oftentimes, For The Need will offer more than just skills in helping an Arrow achieve success behind the wheel. FTN can donate money towards a car, or sponsor a car for an Arrow truly in need. We also sponsor 6 months of car insurance based on an Arrow's story.
Just as it is in the Bow & Arrow Mentorship Program, these older Arrows may cash in tickets that they have earned for essential things that can help them with independence. This ranges from tuition, car insurance, and groceries, etc. This is a fun way for Arrows to do positive actions to benefit their lifestyle.
Though the Arrow has grown to start to spread their own wings, it is common to not succeed on their first try. This is why FTN will offer consistent mentorship along their path of adulthood. This includes weekly calls, messages, emails, and more to ensure consistent success and growth.
